Polluted sites (Altlasten)

Polluted sites are landfills, industrial or accident sites whose subsoil may be contaminated. Cantons keep them in the cadastre of polluted sites (KbS), part of the PLR cadastre. An entry does not automatically mean remediation is required – but it does mean investigation and reporting duties for building projects and possible extra costs for excavation and disposal.

Parzella shows the KbS status per parcel, weighs it in the "restrictions" score and offers the filter "suspected contamination: no" for clean properties.
