Groundwater protection zone
Protection zones S1–S3 around drinking-water wells plus protection areas Au and Ao.
Groundwater protection zones (S1 well area, S2 inner, S3 outer zone) safeguard drinking-water wells; building within them is heavily restricted or prohibited. In addition, the water protection areas Au (usable groundwater) and Ao (surface waters) designate larger areas with specific conditions, e.g. for basements, geothermal probes or storage of water-polluting substances.
The zones are part of the PLR cadastre and cantonal geodata. Parzella shows whether a parcel is affected and weighs it as a restriction in the score – strongly for S1/S2, moderately for Au.
