Land register and owner information
Who owns a parcel is recorded in the land register – access is regulated by each canton.
The land register records ownership, easements, encumbrances and liens of every property. Name and address of the owner may be consulted without proof of interest (Art. 970 Civil Code, Art. 26 Land Register Ordinance), but access runs through different cantonal portals, some paid or with SMS verification.
Parzella integrates the lookup where cantons offer it programmatically (currently Thurgau), logs every query and bills it against the monthly allowance. For all other cantons a direct link leads to the official portal. There is no automated bulk retrieval of owner data – that would violate data-protection law.
